Dear Friends,
The 2012 campaign cycle was brutal. Many personal attacks were directed at me by my opponent. I am pleased to say that I ran a completely clean campaign. Everyone that worked on my campaign worked extremely hard and because of this I have been given the honor of representing the 28th Legislative district for two more years! Unfortunately we had to spend every dollar that we raised for the election to make sure that the voters received the truth about me.
My results were great. Unfortunately, my newly elected Republican seat mate had similar results. It is evident that even with redistricting this district remains highly competitive. My seat mate will be an enemy to all the issues that I have fought so hard for during my time as a legislator.
It is imperative that I show strong financial support so I may continue to be a progressive champion. I will continue to fight for workers, the middle class and rights for all women.
I need to raise $20,000 to retire a small debt and to discourage the Republican Party from targeting my seat in 2014.
